CLACTON Library has been evacuated after a security alert this morning.
Essex police were called at around 11am and soon after were helping with the evacuation of the premises.
They have cordoned off the building on Station Road and a 100-metre exclusion zone is now in place.
A spokesman said they are currently carrying out a search of the building.
