POLICE in Essex have arrested a man in connection with an armed robbery at a bank.
The attack happened at the NatWest bank on North Road when a man entered the premises shortly after 3pm on Wednesday, November 14 and threatened staff with a handgun, forcing them to hand over a four-figure sum of money.
Later that day, a 46-year-old man was arrested at his home address in the Clacton area on suspicion of committing robbery. He is currently being questioned by detectives at Clacton police station.
