DETECTIVES are appealing for information after a woman was assaulted and robbed in the street.
The attack happened when the 26-year-old woman had just alighted her car on Pallister Road at 3pm on Monday.
She was struck in the face and had her handbag stolen from her. Inside her bag contained a four-figure sum of cash.
Investigating Officer, Dc Tom Coppin, said: “Unfortunately this woman cannot provide us with a description of her assailant so we’re left appealing for witnesses to the assault. We have examined CCTV and carried out house-to-house enquiries, but with no luck so far.”
The vicitm, who lives locally, did not require any medical treatment.
Anyone with information in connection with this robbery is urged to contact detectives at Clacton police station on 101.
