A MAN has been sent to prison for five years for child sex offences.
John Perring, 40, from Kent was arrested by the Metropolitan Police as he landed at Heathrow Airport on January 19. He had been deported from the USA and was wanted by Essex Police.
He pleaded guilty to three counts of assault by penetration, six counts of engaging in sexual activity with a child, five counts of causing a child to engage in sexual activity and one count of making an indecent image. The offences took place in Clacton during the summer of 2011.
He was detained in police custody prior to his appearance at Chelmsford Magistrates Court on Saturday, January 21 and further remanded in court custody.
Today at Chelmsford Crown Court John Perring was ordered to serve a minimum of five years’ imprisonment before he can be considered for parole.
John Perring was also placed on the Sex Offenders Register.
