FIREFIGHTERS were called to tackle a small fire in the utility room of a care home.
Crews arrived at the property in Orwell Road, Clacton, at 10.40am today after receiving reports a blaze had broken out on the third flame.
A spokesman for the brigade said: “The office in charge reported that the fire was contained to the utility room but that the first floor of the building was 30per cent smoke logged.”
Wearing breathing apparatus and using a hose reel jet, crews had put out the fire by 11.15am.
No one was missing as a result of the incident.
