A woman has been bailed after several homeowners reported fraudulent activity in Clacton.
Police made the arrest at a property in Raycliff Avenue, Clacton, at around 8.50pm on Saturday but an investigation has established other properties in nearby streets have been called upon.
Detectives believe the scam involving homeowners been asked for money to fund the woman’s hospital travel costs may have been going on for at least two weeks.
Police need to speak to anyone who may have information about the activity. They should contact officers at Clacton on 101.
The 30-year-old woman from Clacton is on bail on suspicion of fraud. She is due to return to police on September 19.
