A popular car and motorcycle display has raised an estimated £40,000 for a hospice charity.
Classic and Sports Cars by the Lake, which took place on Sunday, September 2, at Hall Farm, Fornham St Martin, was attended by more than 5,000 people who helped to raise the vital cash for St Nicholas Hospice Care.
It was organised by a dedicated committee of volunteers, headed by Austin Cornish and hosted by Andrew and Gina Long who founded the event nine years ago.
Visitors were able to admire hundreds of valued vehicles on display and enjoy a variety of family-friendly entertainments, trade stands, crafts, food and drink.
George Chilvers, St Nicholas Hospice Care’s Fundraising Manager, said: “Thank you to everyone who came along to Sunday’s ninth Classic and Sports Cars by the Lake event. It was a fantastic day and to see thousands of people enjoying themselves was brilliant.”
