Firefighters are tackling a blaze after a classic Jaguar caught fire at the side of the road near Thorpeness.
The car, thought to be a Jaguar Mark II, is worth thousands of pounds and was on its way home from a classic car show.
The fire started at around 4.15pm today (August 27). The car had been at the Thorpeness Classics at the Pavilion show.
Julie Kemp, who had been visiting the car show, saw the car on fire at the Aldeburgh Road A1064 junction with the B1069.
“It was a lovely car,” she said. “It is such a shame. We saw the car at the show and then when we came past on the road the firefighters were there and it was well alight.
“The engine bay was completely on fire. It was sad to see a lovely car destroyed.”
The police were also in attendance at the scene but the car was off the road and no road closure was required.
