A group of Suffolk students enjoyed some practical experience alongside their classroom studies when they spent a day at two of the county’s leading hotels.

The Year 13 students from Suffolk One College travelled to Aldeburgh to apply their reception and front-of-house service college-based studies to on-site hotel experience.

Working with staff and management from the the TA Hotel Collection, the 10 students visited both the company’s Brudenell and White Lion seafront hotels in the town.

The group was accompanied by teacher Lucy McNicholas.

During the work experience session in the busy hotels’ receptions, the students were able to see first-hand the duties of the staff and have a go at putting what they had learned into practice.
