A woman was in hospital yesterday after suffering a suspected broken hip in a crash in north-east Essex.
The crash, at around 2.30pm this afternoon on the A120 in Coggeshall, involved a Nissan Almera and a Skoda Fabia. Three fire engines, two from Braintree and one from Harlow, were sent to the scene and firefighters had to cut the woman out of her vehicle in which she was trapped.
The woman sustained cuts and bruises and a possible broken hip and she was taken to Colchester Hospital.
