Colchester: Appeal after distinctive brooch is stolen in burglary

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an antique brooch was stolen during a burglary in a village near Colchester.

The incident happened at a property in Braiswick between 1-3.30pm on December 4 – a window was forced open and a number of items of jewellery were taken.

One item, an antique brooch, was very distinctive.

It had two lion’s claws connected together with silver – the ends of both claws were also tipped in silver.
