DETECTIVES are appealing for information following an assault in Colchester.
The attack happened when a 21-year-old man was set upon by three men outside the Dirty Penguin in St John’s Street on Friday, August 31 at 11.50pm.
He was taken to Colchester General Hospital by a friend where he was treated for his facial injuries and is now recovering at home.
Investigating Officer, Dc Dominique Savory, said: “There was some form of argument outside the club which then escalated into something more serious.
“This man sustained a broken jaw and has had a metal plate inserted into his face to help with the recovery.”
A witness who police need to trace has been described as white, about 5ft 5ins and was wearing distinctive blue trainers with a Nike tick on the side.
Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives at Colchester police station on 101.
