A 14-year-old boy is in hospital after being hit by a bus in Colchester this afternoon.
Ambulance crews were called to Greenstead Road just after 3pm and a rapid response car, ambulance and the Essex Air Ambulance was dispatched to the boy’s aid.
An ambulance spokesperson said: “The boy collided with the windscreen of the bus and was treated for abdominal and hip injuries as well as cuts to his face.
“His condition isn’t thought to be serious but he was taken to Colchester General Hospital for further assessment.”
