BURGLARS used suitcases to steal various electrical items from a house.

The break-in happened in Spruce Avenue, Colchester, between April 7 and April 20.

Stolen from the house were 37in and 40in televisions, an Xbox, Sony Playstation, Nintendo Wii, jewellery, mobile phone, console games, camera equipment, sat nav, laptop and other electrical equipment.

Officers believe the burglars used two black and blue suitcases, belonging to the victims, to remove the items.

They also used a distinctive handmade lime green crocheted bag with wooden handles, with a label stitched inside saying “Val’s Craft”.
