A cyclist was flown to hospital with suspected serious head injuries following a crash in Colchester on Tuesday.
An ambulance service spokesman said a male cyclist, thought to be in his 20s, was injured in a collision in Hythe Quay shortly after 1pm and was taken by air ambulance to the Royal London Hospital.
It is thought he suffered serious head and brain injuries.
An update of his condition is expected on Wednesday.
