Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was struck down by a car in East Hill yesterday afternoon.
The victim was starting to cross a zebra crossing when a medium sized silver vehicle hit the woman knocking her to the floor at around 2pm.
The driver, who is described as white and in his 30s, then drove away from the scene leaving the woman with minor abrasions to her leg.
Witnesses are asked to contact officers at Stanway roads policing on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
