An electrical engineer from north-east England has been charged with biting a man’s face.
Andrew Shield, from St Andrew’s Park, Sadberge, near Darlington, will appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, May 13.
The victim, a local man, 24, had the left side of his face bitten during an incident at Southern Fried Chicken, in St Botolph’s Street, Colchester, at 3am on Thursday, February 13.
Shield, 30, has been released on police bail until his court appearance on an assault charge.
