Staff from a Colchester insurance broker have helped to spruce up a hospice garden.
Members of staff from iGo4 helped to install a 50m long wheelchair-friendly pathway around the grounds of Myland Hall at St Helena Hospice in Highwoods in Colchester.
The staff were able to move the earth need and lay the path in just one day, helping visitors access the gardens more easily. The company also donated £600 to cover the cost of all the materials needed.
Helen Bridge, a customer service agent at iGO4’s Colchester site, said: “It was hard graft, but everyone worked really well together.
“It’s good to have the opportunity to do something that, in a small way, makes a difference to people’s lives.”
Lizzie Deed, Corporate Fundraiser at St Helena Hospice, said: “We really appreciate every person who has been part of this project, from the planning to the physical work.”
