Colchester: Lanes reopen on A12 following three-vehicle crash

A man was rescued from a car after he was involved in a crash on the A12 near Colchester.

Crews were called at around 8.20am to the road at the Colchester bypass northbound.

Congestion was reported back two junctions to Marks Tey. All lanes have now reopened.

Ambulance staff also attended the crash which had been dealt with by about 8.45am.

The crash involved a Mercedes C220 and a Volkswagen Polo. A police spokesman said the driver had suffered minor injuries.
