A man was taken to Colchester Hospital after being attacked
A MAN has been treated for fractured ribs and facial injuries after being attacked in Colchester.
The 31-year-old man, from Colchester, was at the mound near St Botolphs roundabout between 9pm and 9.30pm on Wednesday having a cigarette.
The next thing he remembers is waking up in Colchester Hospital where he had two fractured ribs and several stitches in his face.
Items from his holdall were also missing.
Witnesses should call Dc Andrea Ford at Colchester CID on 101.
