A JOINT investigation is to be carried out into the cause of a car fire in Colchester this evening.
The blaze in Priory Street was reported at 8.11pm and one crew from the town’s fire station was sent to the scene.
An Essex County Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to tackle the car fire, believed to have been started deliberately.”
The flames were out by 8.33pm and a joint investigation will now be carried out.
