POLICE officers are today appealing for witnesses to help trace a woman, seen being pulled into a car by a man in Colchester.

The incident took place between 11pm and 11.30pm at the entrance to the NCP car park in Butt Road.

As fears grow for the woman’s safety, officers have urged the woman to get in contact.

She is described as being white, in her mid to late 20s of medium to average build.

She is believed to be quite tall, with long, dark red, dyed hair. She was wearing gold hoop earrings, a red jacket and blue denim shorts and has facial piercings.

The man is black, aged between 40 and 50 years, of average build and height, with a beard.

He was wearing a dark turban and clothing.

The car is described as a silver Ford Mondeo or similar, with sign writing on the driver’s door.

DCI Mark Hall of the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, leading the investigation said: “I would ask anyone with information regarding this incident to contact police.

“I am particularly keen to talk with the lady involved to satisfy myself that she is unharmed and ask her to come forward.”
