POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an incident in Colchester after two teens came forward to say they were assaulted and threatened on Halloween.
Police had initially been contacted shortly after 8.30pm on Wednesday, October 31 following reports of a disturbance near Tesco Highwoods.
Officers arrived and found two teenage boys had been threatened by a man holding what was described as a handgun. One of the teenagers sustained minor head and leg injuries after having been physically struck and required medical treatment.
On Friday, November 2, a 26-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested on suspicion of committing firearms offences and was later released on police bail until Saturday, December 8 pending further enquiries.
