Colchester: Two men assault 17-year-old in park

A 17-YEAR-OLD man was assaulted by two men in Colchester.

Police are seeking witnesses to the attack, which happened in Castle Park near St Peters Street, Colchester at around 8.30am on Friday, February 1.

The 17-year-old was walking through Castle Park when two men approached him and produced a knife.

The suspects pushed the victim to the floor.

The men are described as mid-20s. One man was mixed race and of a slim build. The other was white, clean shaven and had a bicycle.

Investigating officer, Pc Dan Smith said: “This was an unprovoked attack which took place first thing in the morning.

“The victim was understandably very shaken by this and I ask if anyone was in the area that saw anything to contact me.”
