Young man is robbed in Ipswich

Police are appealing for information following an attempted burglary in Colchester.

It happened at around 1.40pm in Brook Street on Thursday, October 3.

The woman resident heard a knock on her front door but did not answer. A few moments later she heard a noise from the rear of the house and when she went to investigate saw a man in dark clothing standing against her window. When she challenged him he ran off. She then discovered a hole in her dining room window.

Detectives investigating want to hear from anyone who may have seen a man acting suspiciously in the area at the time or who may have been called upon around this time.
