AIRMEN at a Suffolk airbase have held a memorial service for a 26-year-old colleague who collapsed and died during Bible study.
Captain Samuel Robertson, an F-15 pilot with the 493rd Fighter Squadron based at RAF Lakenheath, was taking part in a Bible-reading class in Cambridge last week when he collapsed.
He was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge but went into cardiac arrest en-route and died a short while later.
A memorial service for colleagues of Capt Robertson, who was from Missouri, was held on Tuesday.
The cause of the airman’s death is under review.
