FIREFIGHTERS have helped release a woman who was trapped in her car following a collision.
Fire crews from Clacton, Weeley and Colchester where called to the two car collision, which occurred in Station Road, Thorpe-le-Soken, at 12.36pm today.
A man and a woman, both aged in their late teens or early 20s were involved in the collision.
Crews used specialist cutting equipment to release the woman and she was left in the car of the Ambulance Service.
The man suffered possible injuries to his thumb and the woman had neck and back pain so crews cut the roof off the car and took her out on a spinal board.
Both were taken to Colchester General Hospital.
