A 68-year-old former Ipswich man accused of sexually assaulting a schoolboy in his mobile home more than a decade ago told him to keep what happened a secret, it has been alleged.

Stanley Blatchford allowed the boy to play computer games during visits to the mobile home and allegedly let him look at pornographic magazines, Ipswich Crown Court was told.

Katherine Davey, prosecuting, said that at the time of the alleged offences the boy was aged between 13-15 and Blatchford was in his early 50’s.

She alleged that Blatchford told the boy that if said “No” three times he would stop but when the boy said “No” Blatchford hadn’t stopped.

Blatchford had also allegedly told the boy that what happened between them was a secret.

Blatchford, of Bildeston Road, Combs, has pleaded not guilty to five offences of indecent assault on a male between 2001 and 2004.

The court heard that after his arrest he denied the allegations and said nothing inappropriate had taken place between him and the boy.

The trial continues.
