Rail users travelling between London Liverpool Street and stations in East Anglia are facing delays due to a signalling fault in London and a problem at level crossings on the line towards Norwich.
According to Greater Anglia, trains running between Stowmarket and Norwich are running at reduced speed due to faults with barriers at ‘multiple level crossings’
A spokesman said: “Trains are also being further delayed due to a fault with the signalling system in the Diss area.”
Disruption is expected until 6pm tonight.
As a result, the 5pm Liverpool Street to Norwich service will start from Colchester and the 5.30pm Liverpool Street to Norwich service has been cancelled.
Services between London Liverpool Street and Norwich may be cancelled, delayed or revised.
Meanwhile, train services to Stansted Airport are facing disruption due to a signalling fault at Bethnal Green station.

“Train services running through this station may be revised.
“Disruption is expected until 7pm today.
“Due to a fault with the signalling system at Bethnal Green, fewer trains are able to run through this area.
“To alleviate the congestion that this fault will cause, some of our Stansted Express services will be diverted to start and terminate at Stratford instead of London Liverpool Street.
“Network Rail are working as fast as they can to restore the train service.”
