SEBASTIAN Ulamek has admitted he was confused at the start of the first semi-final in Saturday's Danish SGP in Copenhagen.
The Pole says he had not been told that Russian sensation Emil Sayfutdinov had been excluded for touching the tapes, and was not fully prepared for the start of the re-run.
Ulamek, who finished third behind Tomasz Gollob and Niels-Kristian Iversen in the re-run to miss out on a first appearance in a GP final, explained: "There was a minor misunderstanding in my team before the re-run of the semi-final.
“The boys did not inform me Emil was excluded. I came to the tapes and was waiting for the Russian to come.”
