THE Spa Pavilion in Felixstowe has announced that singing star Connie Fisher has postponed her forthcoming Secret Love Tour, including her date at the venue on Friday, May 15.

It was confirmed by her management this morning that the Sound of Music Star is to go into hospital for an operation and will be unable to work for some considerable time.

A statement from Bedlam Management Ltd said: “Following consultations with vocal specialists in the US it has been decided that for Connie Fisher to have any chance to perform again a procedure on her vocal cords has to be carried out.

“Connie's doctor has advised her that the situation she finds herself in has been with her from birth.

“This condition is known as "congenital fusion anomalies", he has said that it is not uncommon in general, however, in singers, he has never experienced or heard of this situation before.

“Effectively how Connie Fisher has ended up having a singing career is nothing short of miracle.

“Connie is obviously very disappointed and upset that she is not be able to do the concert tour, but we wish her a full recovery.”

It is hoped that the Felixstowe date will be rescheduled in the future although no dates are available at this time.

Julie Howes, theatre manager “We are obviously disappointed that Connie will not be appearing at The Spa in May and hope that she will return to the venue in the future once she has made a full recovery.

“I would like to assure everyone who has already purchased tickets that a full refund will be given.”
