WHILE the Coplestonians first and second teams are now filled mainly by younger players – many from the SETEC scheme – the Ipswich-based club’s third XI is enjoying the last of the summer wine.

It is keeping the spirit of the club alive with officials and players who have worked their way down from the first team scene.

They must be the only club in Division Three of the Kingsley Healthcare SIL to produce a programme for home matches and they have their own team track suit tops.

With seven points from their opening three games Coplestonians thirds are enjoying success on the park as well under the management of Dave Little, Peter Dawson MBE, David McGregor and Gary Cunningham.

Players who have played first team football and are still turning on the style every Saturday are captain Chris Stokes, Glen Turner, Duncan Southgate, Lee Battley, James Quinn, Matty Oxbrow and Ben Cresswell.
