TOP-of-the-range cars worth more than �2 million have been recovered at the Port of Felixstowe, police revealed today.
In all, 73 high-value vehicles have been seized as part of a six-week operation led by officers from the Regional Intelligence Unit for the East of England.
Officers worked in conjunction with a number of agencies including the UK Border Agency and AVCIS (the Association of Chief Police Officers Vehicle Crime Intelligence Service).
The operation finished on Friday.
The vehicles recovered had been stolen from locations in Hertfordshire, Essex, London, Avon and Somerset, Gwent, Cheshire, Lancashire, Surrey, Buckinghamshire, Kent and Sussex as part of crimes which date back to January 2008.
