BRITAIN is set to bask in an unusual spell of October sunshine later this week, forecasters predicted today.
Temperatures are expected to peak at 22C on Friday as a warm front sweeps across the country.
The weekend, especially Saturday, is also expected to be warm and dry. Temperatures should peak at 21C on Saturday and 18C on Sunday.
Southern England is set to enjoy the best of the sunshine.
