TWO cows have been killed after they wandered onto an Essex road triggering a four-vehicle crash.
The accident happened on Mersea Road, Colchester at about 6.25am.
Three cars were involved - a Vauxhall Vectra, a Ford Fiesta, a Fiat Punto - and a white Iveco lorry, leaving one man with an eye injury.
An Essex Police spokeswoman said it appeared that the cows “were straying” in the road.
The accident has caused delays in the area during the morning rush hour.
