POLICE in Essex have confirmed that an elderly woman died from natural causes after she was involved in a car crash.
Winifred Howard, 82, who lived in the Prettygate area of Colchester, died in hospital after the crash last Wednesday.
Ms Howard was driving a blue Ford Fiesta when it mounted a driveway in The Commons and collided with a Volkswagen Touran at about 8.40am.
She was taken to Colchester General Hospital where she was later pronounced dead. A post mortem examination showed she had died from natural causes.
