A serious road crash this afternoon has left a man with life-threatening injuries.
Main Road in Broomfield is closed between White Meads and Broomfield Hospital, and is expected to remain closed until at least 7pm.
The crash between a green Peugeot 206 and a black Jaguar X-type happened at the junction with Jubilee Avenue at around 2.30pm.
The Peugeot driver, a 60-year-old man from the Chelmsford area, has been taken to the Royal London Hospital by ambulance with serious life-threatening injuries.
