EMERGENCY services were called to attend a crash in Washbrook today.
There was a collision between a silver Vauxhall Corsa and blue Mitsubishi Shogun in Whights Corner at 8.20am. Police and ambulance attended the scene where they found a woman trapped in the Mitsubishi. She was released by fire crews from Princes Street and Colchester Road who had to use cutting equipment to take off the door and roof. Fortunately she did not suffer any serious injuries.
Motorists were also warned today to be cautious because of the excess surface water across the county due to some heavy downpours.
Police were called to the A14 at Stowmarket shortly after 7am following reports of surface water on the carriageway. Signs were put up at the scene to warn motorists to take care.
