FIREFIGHTERS assisted paramedics at the scene of a collision which left a woman trapped.
Two crews and a rescue tender were called to the junction between Ropes Drive and Fenton Way in Kesgrave shortly after 11am.
A spokesperson for the fire service said that two cars had collided, leaving one woman trapped in her vehicle – she was assessed by paramedics.
Crews removed the roof of one of the cars and one person was taken to Ipswich Hospital.
