AN elderly man crashed into a sign in an accident on the A12 tonight.
The accident occurred around 7.20pm on the Colchester-bound carriageway near Dedham, on the Essex/Suffolk border.
A police spokesman said the man’s silver Nissan Almera left the road and collided with a sign.
He was complaining of pains in the rib area and was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
The accident spot is opposite the site of last month’s fatal accident in which a Portuguese woman from Ipswich was killed.
