A BUNGALOW in rural Suffolk has been targeted by arsonists for a second time in the space of weeks after it was ravaged by fire.

Police are linking the two fires at the property in All Saints Road, Creeting St Mary, which happened on Saturday and February 20.

Fire crews were called to the road at 6.50am on Saturday and found the bungalow, which has been empty for some time, to be well alight with flames coming through the roof.

Homeowners reported being woken up by the sound of the fire.

It took about an hour, using two hosereels and a main jet, to bring the blaze under control. The road was closed off while the emergency work was being carried out.

Crews remained at the scene to dampen down, and the property was left badly damaged after the incident. Anyone with information should call police on 101.
