Crews have tackled a fire in a cellar in a building in Lavenham.
One crew from Sudbury and one crew from Long Melford were sent to reports of a fire in Market Place just after 1pm.
They found a heavily smoke-logged cellar and isolated the power supply to a tumble dryer, which had set alight.
Crews used four sets of breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to extinguish the blaze and ventilated the cellar.
The incident was under control at 1.59pm.
