Crews called to town chimney blaze

FIRE crews from attended a chimney fire in Ipswich.

Firefighters from Princes Street Fire Station were called to the blaze in Hadleigh Road, Ipswich at 3pm today.

On arrival the crew discovered that the chimney of a single storey cottage was “well alight”.

The blaze was extinguished by 4.15pm.

A thermal imaging camera was used to ensure that there were no further hot spots.
