At 7.56pm tonight, a crew from Princes Street station was called to Stonechat Lane to put out a fire in a conifer hedge. One hose reel was used to get the flames under control in less than ten minutes.
At 8.22pm a bin fire was reported in Ellenbrook Green. A crew from Princes Street used buckets of water to extinguish the blaze, which was under control by 8.32pm.
Then, at 9.04pm, firefighters from Princes Street returned to Ellenbrook Green to tackle another bin fire. Again they used buckets of water to douse the flames, which were out by 9.30pm.
