Churches Together in Sudbury and District are spreading the Easter message with wooden crosses inscribed with Bible verses.
The “Cross His Path” initiative will see 200 crosses distributed in Sudbury and Great Cornard during Holy Week from Monday, March 26, to Easter Saturday, March 31, and are free for the finders to keep.
On the flip side of the cross from the Bible verse there are link details to the “Cross His Path” Facebook page where people can log their finds which gives details of local Easter services and activities, the Easter message and an opportunity for people to leave their own reflections.
The group are also planning a ‘Stations of Sudbury’ walk on Easter Saturday leaving from outside St Peter’s at 9.45am.
This will involve retelling the story of Jesus’ death through readings and prayers at a variety of locations around Sudbury and is also an opportunity to pray for the community.
