A 20-YEAR-OLD man was injured after he was attacked in Wangford.

He suffered a bump to the back of his head after being assaulted in Elms Lane, Wangford on Sunday night.

The man was cycling from Frostenden to Wangford between 10pm and 10.30pm and got off his bike to use his mobile phone. He was walking along, pushing the bike and using the phone when he was assaulted close to a small car park.

He was knocked to the ground and got up to see three males standing nearby. One of the three ran off and nothing was said before the other two walked away too. The 20-year-old man picked up his bike and returned home to call police.

Police need to trace the white men, of slim to medium build, about 5ft 7ins to 5ft 8ins tall, wearing hooded tops with the hoods up and jeans. One wore what appeared to be a white scarf around his face.

Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area around this time, regardless of whether you think you have information or not, and anyone who thinks they may know who the men are.
