White van driver allegedly failed to stop after knocking cyclist unconscious at Ipswich roundabout

A cyclist was knocked unconscious and suffered a serious head injury after a collision with a white van which is reported to have driven off without stopping.

The crash happened at around 11am yesterday at the Felixstowe Road/Ransomes Way roundabout in Warren Heath, Ipswich.

Suffolk police said the cyclist, a woman in her 40s, was knocked unconscious and taken to hospital for treatment for a serious head injury.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to the crash to get in touch.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Suffolk Constabulary on 101 quoting incident number 154 of Sunday, January 7.
