Safety barriers on two busy Essex roads which have been damaged are to be repaired.
Highways England, which looks after Britain’s motorways and A-roads, has an ongoing programme of work to repair the broken barriers along the A12 and A120.
As a result, single lanes of the roads will be closed between 8pm and 6am the following morning each weeknight this week while the work is carried out.
The junction 27 slip road of the A12 at Colchester will also be closed overnight, between 8pm and 6am, this week as part of ongoing work to refurbish the bridge over the junction.
Drivers will be diverted via the A1124, London Road, Cymbeline Way, the A134 and Via Romanae Urbanis.
