Situated in Fore Street, the Spread Eagle Pub has long since been a part of its community.

It is recorded that the pub was opened in the 1600s with The Old Bell over Stoke Bridge it also reputedly the oldest pub in Ipswich

The Spread Eagle is the last remaining public house of those which once stood on the four corners of this junction of Fore Street

In the summer of 2015, it closed for a couple months to be refurbishment and was took over by Grain Brewery to give their wide selection of craft and imported beers on draught in the pub.
