Air shows have always been a popular attraction across the region in the summertime, but have we pictured you in our gallery from the Woodbridge Air Show in 1976?

The popularity of such events was demonstrated by the huge number of people that turned out for the Woodbridge Air Show in 1976.

Visitors to this event were able to get a very close up view of the planes and helicopters in order to help them snap the perfect picture.

Attendees were able to relax in the sunshine on what looks to have been a warm summers day and watch the aircraft pass by. Younger visitors were also able to enjoy the thrills of sitting in the cockpits of some of the planes and gaze at the myriad of complex controls that kept them moving.

Who knows, maybe some of the youngsters pictured here were inspired to work as pilots or engineers themselves.
